About The Position

The Front Desk Associate will support the functions of the hotel by overseeing customer service at the front desk; processing guest reservations, requests, and supporting the guests and hotel staff as needed. This position is Monday-Friday, 7:00AM-3:30PM.

Requirements

  • Some experience in customer service, sales, or the hospitality industry.

Responsibilities

  • Personally greet everyone that walks into the lobby and answer the telephone
  • Interact with guests.
  • Reviews and responds to guest response cards.
  • Professionally and promptly address guests’ concerns and questions, including taking requested items to guest rooms
  • Solve problems creatively, adhering to hotel standards, and manage emotional situations in a calm and professional manner
  • Accurately process guest reservations and guest payments
  • Review the accuracy of reservations
  • Create and manage both internal and external group blocks
  • Open Legacy Hotel every weekday
  • Perform Daily Transaction Reports and run credit card reports
  • Complete the night audit every weekday
  • Manage front desk staff scheduling
  • Order supplies for housekeeping staff
  • Assist Billy Graham School with missionary housing
  • Oversee Legacy Vehicle Rentals
  • Oversee internal billing for the Legacy Hotel
  • Oversee graduation reservations
  • Maintain knowledge and upkeep of Maestro PMS
  • Train all part-time front desk staff regularly, creatively adapting training techniques to fit the staff and department needs
  • Ensure cash drawer and safe maintain appropriate balances
  • Employs math and accounting skills to calculate discounts, percentages, etc.
  • Maintain knowledge and awareness of special events, conventions, business meetings and other opportunities on campus
  • Work with Events, Admissions, and other departments on campus to provide proper guest support for internal guests
  • Ensure a clean and professional work environment
  • Maintain a professional appearance and attitude
  • Abide by the standards and guidelines set forth in the Policy Manual
  • Able to stand for long periods of time if necessary
  • Performs other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.
