Volunteers of America–Greater New York (VOA–Greater New York) is a leading anti-poverty organization serving neighbors in need across New York City, Northern New Jersey, and Westchester. Through 70+ programs, we support over 35,000 adults and children each year, including individuals experiencing homelessness, survivors of domestic violence, youth aging out of foster care, veterans, seniors, and children with developmental delays. We are currently seeking qualified candidates for the following position: Position: Front Desk Supervisor. The Front Desk Supervisor coordinates the operation of the program during the assigned shift. New Hope Shelter is a program that provides comprehensive services and safe, anonymous housing for individuals and their children experiencing domestic violence.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED plus one year relevant experience working in a similar capacity in a social services setting.
  • CPR/First Aid
  • Must possess good interpersonal skills and basic computer knowledge.

Nice To Haves

  • Candidates with related experience with domestic violence preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Directs all front desk staff activities to ensure adherence to policy and procedures.
  • Ensure proper documentation of front desk activities.
  • Provide emergency assistance to residents as needed and supervise incident management system.
  • Monitor building safety.
  • Conduct rounds at residence as assigned.
