About The Position

CAMS, an HOA management company, is seeking a part-time, on-site Front Desk staff member to work at a large-scale community in Durham, NC. The role involves greeting visitors and residents, assisting with membership matters, managing amenity center duties, and performing administrative tasks. The position offers 20-24 hours per week, with anticipated shifts including weekdays from 5pm-9pm and weekends anytime between 7am-9pm (morning, afternoon, and evening shifts averaging 4-5 hours). Shift preference and availability will be discussed during the interview.

Requirements

  • Graduation from high school
  • Two years' experience in a customer service position
  • Strong computer skills
  • Ability to maintain CPR/AED certification
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
  • Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with staff, residents, guests, volunteers and contractors
  • Strong conflict resolution skills
  • Excellent “people” skills
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Ability to learn and proficiently utilize community management software and Microsoft Office products
  • Must be dependable, solution-oriented and professional in appearance

Responsibilities

  • Greet visitors and residents in a professional manner.
  • Assist residents with membership matters, including event and activities registration, and guest registration.
  • Open or close the amenity center as required by the shift.
  • Administer membership programs according to board-approved policies.
  • Assist with room setup and takedown for scheduled uses.
  • Periodically walk the facility to identify guests who have not checked in and assist members and guests.
  • Enforce board-approved rules and regulations for amenity center use.
  • Log in/out and distribute activity equipment and keys, ensuring their return in good condition.
  • Register residents for events and activities, collect payment, and provide receipts.
  • Create name tags for new residents and enter information into the membership database.
  • Assist with the maintenance of access control software programs.
  • Answer phones, greet visitors, and provide information.
  • Report any accidents, unsafe conditions, or problems to the appropriate staff member.
  • Assist with room reservations and rentals, ensuring payment, setup, and takedown arrangements are made.
  • Maintain and update homeowner addresses in Vantaca.
  • Track closings of units.
  • Maintain office equipment inventory.
  • Alert appropriate team members immediately on any issues of concern.
  • Maintain electronic files (homeowner, vendor, etc.).
  • Respond to inquiries from homeowners, residents, vendors, and others.
  • Coordinate with Facilities Manager on maintenance requests.
  • Refer inquiries to appropriate resources.
  • Perform other department-related duties as assigned by the Manager or other team members.
