About The Position

The Front Desk Representative provides superior customer service to patients, families, and staff while ensuring accurate and efficient registration, communication, and administrative support.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Strong critical thinking skills and sound judgment
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to function effectively in a fast-paced, stressful environment
  • Proficient in reading, writing, and basic mathematical functions
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure
  • Professional appearance and demeanor
  • Technology proficiency including: Microsoft Office Suite, EMR systems, Practice management software, Clockwise system

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance policies preferred but not required

Responsibilities

  • Collect, verify, and accurately enter patient demographic, billing, and clinical information
  • Greet patients and manage check-in/check-out processes using the Clockwise system
  • Enter patient data and scan documents into the EMR system
  • Verify and update insurance and demographic information
  • Collect patient payments and maintain accurate financial records
  • Respond to patient inquiries and route messages appropriately to clinical staff
  • Maintain accurate accounting of the cash drawer during shifts
  • Conduct follow-up calls to patients after visits, as needed
  • Ensure cleanliness and organization of the front desk, lobby, and registration areas
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
