About The Position

New Mexico Orthopaedic Surgery Center is hiring a Front Desk Registration & Receptionist PRN. At New Mexico Orthopaedic Surgery Center, we believe health and care are inseparable. The Front Desk Registration & Receptionist will interact and welcome patients and families, physicians and staff, and visitors to the Surgery Center.

Requirements

Ability to update patient demographics/information in centers PAS system.
Ability to ensure patient has signed all required forms/documents required by center as well as state and federal guidelines.
Ability to complete Medicare Secondary Payer Questionnaire for all patients identified with Medicare as a primary payer.
Ability to copy patient identification and insurance cards.
Ability to collect money due and document in billing documents. Handle funds per office procedures.
Ability to prepare reports for upcoming surgery schedules.
Ability to receive, screen, and route incoming calls in a professional manner by the third ring.
Cross-trained to effectively perform other business office duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

Prepare charts for admission of patients.
Admit patients and accurately process their paperwork.
Update patient demographics/information in centers PAS system.
Ensure patient has signed all required forms/documents required by center as well as state and federal guidelines.

Copy patient identification and insurance cards.
