About The Position

Elite DNA Therapy Services is a leading provider of behavioral and mental health services in Florida, experiencing rapid expansion. We are committed to delivering high-quality, accessible care and fostering a supportive professional environment. We are seeking a Full-Time Front Desk Receptionist for our Tallahassee, FL location. Requirements

  • High school graduate/GED or formal training from a vocational school.
  • One year of medical experience from a similar setting.
  • Strong sensory skills, including visual acuity, good hearing, and dexterity.
  • Ability to stand and sit for periods of time and move constantly throughout the workday.
  • Good speaking and listening skills.
  • Knowledge of computers and Microsoft Office.
  • Understanding of community-based organizations.
  • Promotes and believes in Elite DNA's mission statement.
  • Friendly personality with the desire to work with the public.
  • Ability and willingness to treat all patients with the utmost kindness and consideration.
  • Ability to handle multi-functions.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced office environment.
  • Ability to push, pull, lift, move, and/or carry up to 15 lbs.
  • Ability to perform focused work with close attention to detail.
  • Ability to operate office equipment, including computers, copiers, fax machines, phones.
  • Ability to type at least 35 wpm.
  • Ability to interact with others, both in person and through phone, e-mail, and written correspondence.
  • Ability to relate to patients, through familiarity with medical terminology and triage procedure.
  • Ability to relate to the public regardless of ethnic, religious and economic status.
  • Ability to communicate with people and understand their problems.
  • Must believe in health care with dignity for all.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily receptionist staff.
  • Ensure team members greet incoming patients and visitors professionally.
  • Manage incoming telephone calls and relay them to the appropriate staff.
  • Perform various clerical duties.
  • Welcome patients personally or by telephone, explaining services, payment categories, and billing procedures.
  • Schedule appointments and direct walk-in patients and emergencies.
  • Register patients according to protocols and collect all necessary documentation.
  • Generate and ensure completion of required patient documents.
  • Review and verify patient insurance coverage and compute patient charges.
  • Collect deposits, co-pays, or deductibles prior to patient appointments.
  • Inform patients of outstanding balances, collect payments, and issue receipts.
  • Collaborate with Provider and Medical Assistant staff to ensure smooth patient flow and minimize waiting times.
  • Call and remind patients of their appointments.
  • Follow up on "no show" patients daily.
  • Communicate patient problems or complaints to the clinic manager or designee.
  • Refer patients who did not keep their appointment to the Clinic Managers for follow-up.
