About The Position

The Human Resources Administrator assists the Human Resources Department with various projects, paperwork, and events. This role involves managing calls and visitors, handling administrative tasks within HR, and supporting HR initiatives. The position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle diverse responsibilities.

Requirements

  • One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both written and verbally in English as it pertains to individual position.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide into all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentage and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Responsibilities

  • Receives calls and guests at establishment, determines nature of business, and directs calls and guests to destination.
  • Answers incoming calls.
  • Follows set procedures for Voicemail.
  • Welcomes visitors.
  • Responsibilities for Food Safety.
  • Completes required paperwork accurately and honestly, where applicable.
  • Adheres to posted GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices) when working within the production facility.
  • Reports suspicious packages, activities, and individuals, where applicable.
  • Assists in multiple functional areas within Human Resources.
  • Creates various charts, forms, and documents as requested.
  • Assists employees with general Human Resources and Payroll issues.
  • Assists with special hiring projects.
  • Assists Human Resources in planning Special Events (e.g., Employee Celebration, Safety Luncheon, Holiday Party).
  • Assists Human Resources with special projects related to 401k, pension, medical insurance.
  • Filing and scanning of Human Resources Records and Personnel Records.
  • Creates new hire paperwork folders.
  • Maintains I-9 verification books.
  • Tracks and monitors approved driver list.
  • Assists with the recruitment process.
  • Backup for the onboarding coordinator.
  • Other responsibilities with similar skill, work conditions, and responsibilities as assigned.
