About The Position

HealthRIGHT 360 is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing accessible and comprehensive healthcare services to vulnerable populations. Our mission is to address systemic barriers to healthcare and promote health equity. We offer a broad spectrum of services, including mental health care, residential and outpatient substance use treatment, and primary health services. We also provide transitional support for individuals re-entering the community after involvement with the criminal justice system. By integrating physical and behavioral health, we aim to empower individuals to overcome challenges by addressing social determinants of health, fostering resilience, and facilitating recovery. The Integrated Care Center Clinic operates as a federally qualified health center, offering primary care, behavioral health, addiction treatment, psychiatry, dental care, and more. We serve those most in need, including individuals experiencing homelessness, mental illness, substance use disorders, and chronic medical conditions. Our approach is centered on team-based care within an integrated setting. The Front Desk Receptionist plays a crucial role in the day-to-day operations of the agency. This position involves rotating through front desk intake/registration, scheduling, training interns and volunteers, and serving as a call receptionist for our administrative and clinic departments.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Prior experience in front desk reception, administrative and/or customer service.
  • Experience working with staff and volunteers.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations.
  • Working knowledge of computerized medical scheduling and billing systems.

Nice To Haves

  • Preferably 2 years’ experience working in a medical front office setting, preferably in a community clinic with medical experience.
  • Preferably MISYS and One-E-App experience (CAA Certified).
  • CPR certification and First Aid certification.
  • Familiarity with other community agencies in the Bay Area to make appropriate referrals preferred.
  • Understanding of harm reduction philosophy and ability to provide non-judgmental, client-centered services preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Schedules medical clinic appointments and directs calls throughout the agency.
  • Assists with enrolling patients into HSF (Healthy San Francisco) program.
  • Makes follow-up calls for providers; calls to confirm “next day’s appointments”.
  • Greets and provides customer service to patients, guests, clients, and vendors.
  • Communicates clearly on the phone and accurately takes and delivers messages.
  • Works at other locations when needed.
  • Performs general administrative tasks such as filing, organizing, data entry and billing.
  • Assists in maintaining computerized appointment system (Mysis) or other assigned system.
  • Processes patient/client data entry for company various electronic systems in accordance with guidelines established by HealthRIGHT 360 to satisfy internal and external evaluating requirements.
  • Manages receipt and routing of agency mail (incoming and outgoing).
  • Assists and directs callers and visitors to appropriate employees and departments.
  • Ability to operate a single or multiple position telephone switchboard.
  • Works in a team-oriented environment.
  • Orientation, training, and supervision of volunteers on certain front desk responsibilities may be assigned.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
