This is a part-time position requiring availability on Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays, with start times as early as 7 am. The role involves traveling between our Glen Burnie, Annapolis, and Prince Frederick offices. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Minimum of one-year work experience in a medical practice preferred.
  • Strong background in customer service preferred.
  • Long term commitment preferred.
  • If looking to advance, 2-year commitment required.

Responsibilities

  • Greet patients in a polite, helpful manner.
  • Provide necessary instructions and/or directions.
  • Answer phones timely and professionally.
  • Transfer calls or send internal communication to the appropriate team members.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality in adhering to HIPAA regulations.
  • Verify and update insurance coverage and patient demographics.
  • Update patient information, provide necessary forms for completion.
  • Prep patient charts for upcoming visits.
  • Place confirmation calls to confirm patient’s upcoming appointments.
  • Collect copays or fee for services rendered and any past due/current balances, as per the daily check in process.
  • Reconcile daily bank(s) and post to the appropriate supervisor at the end of each business day.
  • Send/receive patient medical records in accordance with HIPAA.
  • Maintain daily COVID cleaning regulations per the CDC and AAD protocols.
  • Willing to travel to other offices to include: Annapolis, MD, Glen Burnie, MD, Prince Frederick, MD, Berlin, MD, Westminster, MD.
  • Other duties assigned as deemed necessary by management.
