About The Position

Loup Basin Public Health Department is seeking a welcoming, dependable, and motivated Front Desk Receptionist to greet patients and visitors and help create a positive experience. The role combines traditional reception and office support duties with opportunities to learn advertising, social media, and community outreach. Training and guidance will be provided for outreach responsibilities; previous marketing or graphic design experience is not required. The position is based at the department’s facility in Burwell, Nebraska.

Responsibilities

Welcome patients and visitors in a friendly, professional manner.
Answer phone calls, respond to questions, and direct people to the appropriate staff.
Schedule appointments and assist with patient registration and check-in.
Maintain accurate records and complete general office tasks.
Assist staff with administrative projects and daily office operations.
Help maintain a welcoming, organized, and positive environment for patients and coworkers.
Learn to create simple social media posts, flyers, and other promotional materials.
Share information about upcoming clinics, events, and public health services.
Assist with updating the website and social media pages.
Gather information with staff and promote the work of LBPHD.
Suggest ideas for connecting with the communities the department serves.
