The Front Desk Receptionist performs routine clerical and administrative work in answering telephones, assisting clients and visitors, providing assistance, crucial support to prescribers, clinical reporting and scheduling. This role involves greeting and welcoming clients and visitors, checking them in and out on the electronic health record system, answering phones, taking messages, and transferring calls. The position also includes general office duties such as scanning, faxing, and making copies, as well as scheduling appointments and conducting outreach. The receptionist will assist with processing referrals and intake scheduling, provide support to prescribers (both in-person and virtual), and help ensure efficient scheduling. Additional duties include processing prior authorizations, facilitating medical records requests, electronically storing patient information, supporting interdisciplinary teams, maintaining confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA, and assisting with opening and closing the clinic. The role may also involve other duties based on operational needs to ensure a positive client experience.
