About The Position

The Toronto Cricket Skating and Curling Club is seeking a Front Desk Receptionist for the pm shift to join their Admin. Department. This role is crucial for creating a positive first impression for members and guests, professionally representing the Club, and ensuring effective communication among all stakeholders. The Club is a family-oriented private institution with over 4,000 members, focused on delivering exceptional experiences through a warm and welcoming culture. Requirements

  • Some post-secondary education required, preferably in hospitality or a related program.
  • Working level proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook required.
  • Office equipment and computer literacy in a professional setting required.
  • Ability to interpret and implement policies in a customer-centric context.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize requests, and handle interruptions effectively.

Nice To Haves

  • Standard First Aid and CPR/AED certification an asset.
  • 2-3 years of experience in a private club or similar environment preferred.
  • Knowledge in Northstar or similar club management software an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Create a welcoming environment by greeting members, guests, and staff by name, and answering/connecting phone calls.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Club departments, events, and bookings via Northstar to assist members with inquiries, concerns, and requests.
  • Assist members with booking and cancelling appointments, executing rain out blockages, and posting messages through Northstar.
  • Support Club communications by receiving and distributing mail, and maintaining Club-wide printed information, forms, and contact lists.
  • Monitor Club entry using fob access, guest/vendor registration, record unauthorized entries, and communicate guest arrivals to confirm accompaniment.
  • Liaise with all departments to address member service expectations, such as maintenance or housekeeping requests.
  • Contact appropriate departments regarding changes in members’ financial statuses and eligibility to charge items.
  • Monitor the security camera system and report unauthorized individuals or suspicious activities to the Duty Manager.
  • Collaborate with the Duty Manager to make Club-wide emergency announcements via the paging system, answer calls from emergency services, and assist with notifying departments via Microsoft Teams.
  • Log and turn over lost property to the Club’s lost and found area daily.
  • Work in compliance with the Occupational Health & Safety Act (OHSA) and Club safety policies and procedures.
  • Conduct oneself in alignment with the Well Played service model (Prompt, Personalized, Polite) to support member services and respect in the workplace.
