About The Position

This is entry-level work related to the Authority’s administrative and housing management functions. The incumbent is responsible for assisting the administrative and housing management staff with fielding telephone calls and office visitors as well as assisting with intake functions and work order requests. Reporting to the Director of Housing, this position is responsible for providing the first line of response for all callers and visitors as well as assisting with the work order and applications process.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for general customer service in the Authority’s Central Office as well as assisting with the intake process for public housing, Section-8, and other programs operated by the agency.
  • Answers incoming telephone calls and routes calls to appropriate personnel.
  • Takes detailed Messages, as needed.
  • Greets all visiting applicants, residents, participants, vendors, contractors or other persons.
  • Fields questions and notifies other staff, as applicable.
  • Receives and processes incoming mail.
  • Distributes applications for housing under Authority programs including public housing, Section-8, and any other programs operated by the agency or its affiliates.
  • Provides support, as needed. To AMP staff, including housing maintenance staff.
  • Represents the Authority on a daily basis in accordance with established policies and procedures.
