Team members balance patient check-in and check-out, appointment scheduling, insurance verification, payment collection, and phone communication while providing friendly, compassionate, and efficient service throughout the day. The Front Desk Associate provides exceptional customer service while managing a variety of patient-facing and administrative responsibilities. You'll support patients throughout their visit by assisting with registration, insurance verification, scheduling, payment collection, check-out, and other front desk needs. The ideal candidate is friendly, detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable juggling multiple priorities in a busy healthcare environment. Success in this role requires strong communication skills, professionalism, accuracy, and a genuine commitment to putting patients first.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience in a healthcare or medical office setting
  • Experience with insurance verification, patient registration, scheduling, or payment collection
  • Healthcare experience isn't required. We're willing to train the right candidate who brings a strong customer service mindset, attention to detail, and a desire to learn.

Responsibilities

  • Welcome patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner
  • Register patients and verify demographic and insurance information
  • Verify insurance eligibility and benefits
  • Collect copays, deductibles, outstanding balances, and other patient payments
  • Schedule follow-up appointments accurately and efficiently
  • Answer incoming phone calls and assist patients with questions and requests
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
  • Protect patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA requirements
  • Collaborate effectively with physicians, clinical staff, and other departments
  • Deliver exceptional customer service and help create a positive patient experience
