About The Position

H&K Equipment is the premier dealer of forklifts, container handlers, railcar movers, utility vehicles, and more in Pittsburgh and the greater tristate area. Headquartered minutes from downtown Pittsburgh and with additional facilities in West Virginia, we sell, rent, service, and rebuild the most unique selection of custom and heavy-duty material handling equipment in the industry. Our technicians and in-house capabilities enable us to tackle jobs that no other shop can handle. We are seeking a Front Desk Receptionist to be the first point of contact for visitors, vendors, and customers. This position plays a key role in supporting daily office operations while providing outstanding customer service.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 1–2 years of receptionist, customer service, or administrative experience.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel).
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and assist customers, vendors, and visitors in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Answer and direct incoming phone calls to appropriate departments, including Sales, Service, Parts, Accounting
  • Manage incoming and outgoing mail
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming reception area.
  • Provide administrative support to multiple departments as needed.
  • Monitor office supplies and coordinate replenishment orders.
  • Maintain confidentiality of company and customer information.
  • Perform other clerical and administrative duties as assigned.
