About The Position

Contributes to the efficient daily operation of Hotel – Front Desk activities by conducting nightly audits of the day’s front desk operations, while providing guest service at the front desk and serving as the Supervisor on Duty, in accordance with the established policies and procedures of the Shoshone-Bannock Casino Hotel. Maintains professionalism in all interactions with internal and external customers. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Three (3) years of customer service and cash handling experience.
  • A combination of relevant education and related work experience may be considered.
  • Must be able to successfully pass a background screening / investigation according to the established requirements below.
  • Knowledge of goals, objectives, functions, policies, and procedures of Shoshone-Bannock Casino Hotel.
  • Knowledge of department organization, functions, objectives, policies and procedures.
  • Knowledge of applicable federal, state, tribal, and gaming laws, regulations, requirements, and principles.
  • Knowledge of cash handling, banking, and/or accounting methods and procedures.
  • Knowledge of customer service standards.
  • Skill in operating various word-processing, spreadsheets, and office software and industry-related applications.
  • Skill in analyzing problems, projecting consequences, identifying solutions, and implementing recommendations.
  • Skill in handling multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Skill in addressing customer problems.
  • Skill in correct English usage, grammar, spelling, and punctuation.

Responsibilities

  • Completes night audit responsibilities while providing guest service at front desk.
  • Welcomes, greets, and assists arriving and departing guests.
  • Receives guests and processes reservations.
  • Accepts and processes payments in form of credit, cash, and/or reward points.
  • Provides information to guests on all aspects of the casino including promotions, layout of property, player club information, and other casino/hotel activities and amenities.
  • Informs guests of local area attractions.
  • Books, changes, and cancels guest reservations as requested.
  • Completes Night Audit daily checklist.
  • Secures and counts assigned bank.
  • Maintains logs and records for accounting functions such as chargebacks, payouts, voids, and correction vouchers.
  • Verifies front desk balance at end of shift and provides notice of any discrepancies.
  • Performs as Supervisor during graveyard shift.
  • Gives guests all messages, packages, and faxes; maintains log accordingly.
  • Answers incoming telephone calls and responds to callers’ questions knowledgeably and professionally.
  • Provides excellent customer service and solutions for all internal and external customers.
  • Maintains complete and accurate guest records and reservations.
  • Contributes to a team effort and accomplishes related results as required.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
