About The Position

The Hampton Charleston Southridge is seeking a Full-Time Front Desk Guest Services Representative. This role involves greeting and communicating cordially with guests, promptly and professionally checking them in and out of the hotel. The representative will assist in pre-registration and blocking of reservations when necessary, and accurately and efficiently post all charges. A complete working knowledge of the Front Office computer or manual system, including all daily transactions, is required. The role also involves accurately managing cash handling, including receiving cash, checks, and credit card information from guests for payment of hotel charges and making change correctly. Additionally, the representative will review any reservations with special requests and work to block rooms accordingly, possess knowledge of hotel rates and discounts, and understand reservation procedures, including taking same-day reservations within approximately 2 minutes. The ability to follow cancellation and relocation procedures when necessary is also part of the role.
