Requirements

  • 3 years dental experience required
  • Excel in multi-tasking and time management
  • Must possess outgoing, friendly, and professional personality with excellent customer service and organizational skills
  • Experience in dental or medical field with scheduling and verifying insurance preferred
  • Strong computer skills, knowledge of Microsoft Office products, dental software, and ability to learn new programs
  • Must have PROVEN stable work history with 3 references that can be (and will be) contacted
  • Must get along well with others & be a true team player; this is a position within a “family feel/close nit” team
  • Must be someone who can work efficiently and independently
  • Must possess, maintain, and strive toward our core values of Service, Empathy, Integrity, Excellence, and Fun!
  • Must value personal hygiene and maintain a professional appearance. We are a patient facing business; these items are required, no exceptions

Responsibilities

  • Greeting and scheduling patients
  • Collecting co-payments
  • Presenting treatment plans
  • Working to ensure schedules meet production goals
  • Developing reports on production goals
  • Serving as an advocate and educator in creating treatment plans for dental care
  • Answering incoming calls using proper telephone etiquette and responding to telephone inquiries from potential patients
  • Assisting the patient in prioritizing treatment and establishing a plan for scheduling and payment for dental services
  • Case presentation and acceptance including chair-side treatment planning
  • Conducting treatment plan consultations with new and existing patients to address patient concerns and answer questions regarding dental treatment plans
  • Scheduling, rescheduling, and confirming new patient appointments, promoting flexibility and care regarding appointment opportunities to patients seeking care and working to maintain full schedules and maintain office schedule flow
  • Performing all dental business duties including check-in, check-out, insurance verification, treatment planning, gathering patient information, maintaining confidentiality, keeping the front office tidy, cleaning duties, participation in morning huddles, and monthly team meetings.
