About The Position

This is a full-time position for a Front Desk Clerk. The role involves managing guest check-ins and check-outs, maintaining room availability, handling guest accounts and payments, and providing information about hotel amenities. The clerk will also be responsible for processing guest orders and reservations, maintaining guest folios, and reporting any issues to management. A key responsibility includes wearing a face mask during shifts.

Requirements

  • Ability to perform check-in and check-out processes in a friendly, professional, and timely manner.
  • Ability to assign guest accommodations and maintain room availability.
  • Ability to handle assigned bank and perform accurate account postings.
  • Knowledge of hotel occupancy status, special events, and in-house groups.
  • Ability to process guest payments and accounts efficiently and accurately.
  • Ability to articulate amenities menu, process guest orders, and make reservations.
  • Ability to maintain guest folios and record charges and credits.
  • Ability to report problems to the manager or supervisor.
  • Ability to wear a face mask during shift.

Responsibilities

  • Perform a friendly, professional, and timely manner check in and checkout processes for arrivals and departures
  • Assigns guest accommodations in accordance with procedures and SOPs. Maintains room availability and reports any issues to supervision.
  • Handles assigned bank in accordance with established internal controls properly and performs accurately account postings to guest folios.
  • Maintains knowledge of hotel occupancy status, special events, in-house groups, and other situations affecting the reception desk's daily operation.
  • Processes guest payments and accounts upon checkout in an efficient, timely, and accurate manner.
  • Able to articulate amenities menu and process guests' orders and make reservations on behalf of the guest
  • Maintains guest folios, ensuring all room charges and credits are recorded in a timely manner.
  • Processes guest payments and accounts upon checkout in an efficient, timely, and accurate manner.
  • Brings any problems to the attention of the manager or supervisor on duty.
  • Must be able to wear a face mask during shift.
  • Performs related duties as assigned.
