We are seeking a Front Desk Attendant to join our Guest Services team. This position plays a key role in creating a welcoming and efficient arrival and departure experience while supporting the overall success of the hotel. The Front Desk Attendant serves as a primary point of contact for guests throughout their stay. This role is responsible for providing friendly, professional, and efficient service during check-in, check-out, reservations, guest requests, and daily front office operations. The ideal candidate is service-driven, detail-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced hospitality environment while maintaining Aloft’s commitment to approachable, engaging guest experiences.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Ability to multitask and remain organized in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment.
  • Basic computer proficiency.
  • Successful completion of a background check is required as a condition of employment.
  • Additional screening requirements may apply based on the position.
  • Must comply with hotel uniform, grooming, and professional appearance standards.
  • Must demonstrate reliability, teamwork, and a commitment to excellent guest service.
  • Responsible for reviewing electronic timecards weekly for accuracy.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous hotel, hospitality, or customer service experience.
  • Experience with Marriott systems including Lightspeed, FOSSE, or similar property management systems.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Previous experience handling cash transactions.

Responsibilities

  • Welcome and acknowledge guests with a warm, professional, and genuine hospitality approach.
  • Complete guest check-in and check-out procedures accurately and efficiently.
  • Respond to guest requests, concerns, and inquiries promptly and professionally.
  • Answer internal and external phone calls and provide appropriate assistance or routing.
  • Process reservations, modifications, and guest inquiries through hotel systems.
  • Maintain knowledge of hotel amenities, services, local attractions, and area information.
  • Communicate guest needs and concerns to appropriate departments to ensure timely resolution.
  • Assist with guest recovery efforts and escalate issues when needed.
  • Run daily shift reports and complete required front office procedures.
  • Balance cash drawers and maintain accurate financial records.
  • Execute end-of-day and closing procedures according to hotel standards.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional front desk area.
  • Support other hotel departments with guest needs and operational requests.
  • Promote Marriott service standards and contribute to a positive guest experience.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
