Oula delivers maternity care built around our patients—offering comprehensive support before, during, and after pregnancy. With fewer C-sections and higher VBAC success rates, our research-backed approach is delivering better outcomes. Our team of trusted midwives, OBGYNs, and dedicated care navigators ensure our patients get the type of care they need in the moments that matter most. Since launching in 2021, we’ve expanded to include Preconception and Miscarriage Care, Pregnancy Care, Postpartum Support, and Gynecology. We currently have 4 clinics in the tri-state area, with three new clinics opening in 2026! As a Front Desk Associate at Oula in Charlotte, you’ll be the first warm welcome patients receive and a steady, reassuring presence throughout their visit. Your work will help create moments patients remember long after their pregnancy journey ends moments of feeling seen, supported, and truly cared for. At Oula, we’re building a new model of maternity care that blends modern midwifery, thoughtful obstetrics, and a deeply patient-centered approach. Requirements

  • Passionate about improving maternity care through clinical excellence, technology, patient empowerment, and education
  • A strong listener and communicator, able to connect with and support diverse patient needs
  • A culture carrier aligned with Oula’s commitment to delivering exceptional, patient-centered care
  • Highly organized, with the ability to manage daily tasks while contributing to longer-term projects
  • Flexible and adaptable in a fast-paced, evolving environment
  • High School Diploma/GED required
  • Ability to work independently, efficiently, and with strong attention to detail
  • Strong computer skills; EMR experience preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
  • Demonstrated reliability, professionalism, and strong work ethic

Nice To Haves

  • Associate’s degree or higher preferred
  • 2+ years of relevant healthcare experience

Responsibilities

  • Creates smooth and effective clinic flow through waiting room management, care team communication and coordination in the clinic
  • Is an expert schedule management, keeping patients on their care journey through careful scheduling and rescheduling of routine appointments such as blood draws, sonograms, handling reschedules, and managing late-arrival communications
  • A friendly face that creates a wonderful in-person experience through warmly greeting patients and manage check-in and check-out processes with empathy and care. Keeps the space welcoming and in tip-top shape by Performing general front-of-house tasks, such as daily checklists, light tidying, plant care, and replenishing snacks, water, and tea
  • Answers and triages patient phone calls, taking ownership of whatever comes your way to drive “one touch” resolution for the patient
  • Drives financial sustainability by collect co-pays, payments for payment plans and support insurance billing
  • Is responsible for general clinical administrative tasks such as retrieving medical records, processing referrals and obtaining prior authorizations
  • Prepare for and participate in daily huddles to support smooth clinic operations
