About The Position

AvantStay is seeking a part-time Front Desk Agent for their hotel, Ancora, in San Diego. This role is the primary point of contact for guests and the company's representative on-site. The position involves facilitating guest check-ins, managing office operations, handling deliveries, organizing supplies, documenting inventory levels, and providing support to local teams and vendors. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, enjoys problem-solving, and thrives in a dynamic environment.

Requirements

  • Must be based in the San Diego area.

  • Broad range of technology experience, including property management systems.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact with a diverse range of stakeholders.

  • Desire to gain in-depth knowledge of short-term rentals and housekeeping.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct live check-ins for arriving guests, serving as the first impression of the company.
  • Receive, organize, and stock deliveries of housekeeping and operational supplies.
  • Organize office and storeroom supplies, which may involve lifting and unpacking.
  • Guide guests through the AvantStay experience to ensure a positive first impression.
  • Communicate with the field team regarding guest arrivals and requests.
  • Utilize technology to release check-in instructions and close out cases in Salesforce.
  • Assist with inventory duties, including preparing items for the field team, receiving deliveries, and tracking linen/consumables.
  • Maintain and organize gathering spaces, including the office and surrounding areas.
