Responsibilities

  • Serve as the heart of the hotel, where most guest interactions begin and end, directly shaping each guest’s overall experience.
  • Act as the first point of contact, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere from the moment guests arrive.
  • Provide smooth, efficient service across all shifts—including morning (AM), evening (PM), and weekends ensuring consistency and professionalism at all times.
  • Manage check‑ins and check‑outs.
  • Handle reservations.
  • Address guest inquiries or concerns with courtesy, accuracy, and exceptional customer service.
  • Check guests in and out of the hotel according to hotel and/or brand standards.
  • Inform guests about the hotel’s facilities, policies, and procedures.
  • Provide tourist information to guests.
  • Handle the hotel phone system, transfer calls to appropriate departments/guests, and accurately take messages for guests.
  • Take, modify, and cancel guestroom reservations.
  • Deal with inquiries, requests, and complaints from guests.
  • Coordinate with other departments to fulfill guests' special requests.
  • Perform cashier duties: post phone charges and other miscellaneous charges to guest accounts.
  • Notify housekeeping and maintenance of any reported problems with guestrooms or grounds.
  • Follow in-house procedures to help ensure the security of guests and employees.
  • Know hotel emergency procedures.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the Front Office area.
  • Adhere to all work rules, procedures, and policies established by the hotel.
