About The Position

Shaner Hotels is an award-winning hospitality owner-operator and management company with a portfolio of over 65 properties and more than 7,500 rooms in 14 states and four countries. They partner with top Hospitality Brands and independent locations, providing services like hotel development, design and construction, e-commerce, and revenue management. This specific opportunity is at their 83-room Courtyard Marathon Florida Keys, located on the Florida Bay in Marathon. The hotel offers easy access to local attractions, a fitness center, on-site dining for breakfast, dinner, and cocktails, and an outdoor infinity pool with hot tubs and a tiki bar.

Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Minimum one year customer service experience.
  • Ability to satisfactorily communicate with guests, management, and co-workers to their understanding.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous hotel experience preferred.
  • Computer experience preferred.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.
  • Knowledge of local activities and attractions appropriate for clientele.

Responsibilities

  • Be available to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and varied shifts.
  • Handle guest complaints ensuring guest satisfaction.
  • Process all check-ins and check-outs according to established hotel requirements.
  • Adhere to payment, cash handling and credit policies/procedures.
  • Generate, print, and distribute daily reports to designated departments/personnel.
  • Resolve discrepancies on the room status report with Housekeeping.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Provide superior guest services including check-in/check-out hotel guests courteously and efficiently; process all payments according to established hotel requirements.
  • Provide information and services to any guest or visitor in a friendly, professional manner.
