About The Position

The Watermark Hotel, a new all-suite luxury hotel in Capital One Center, is seeking a Front Desk Agent. This position is responsible for anticipating guest needs, exceeding expectations, and implementing creative solutions to provide exceptional service. The role involves processing check-ins/outs, assisting guests with reservations and requests in a friendly, professional, and timely manner, while upholding the high standards of B. F. Saul Company Hospitality Group to ensure guest satisfaction. The Watermark Hotel offers 300 luxury residential suites and convenient access to local attractions and amenities, including The Aviary, Wren restaurant, and The Perch rooftop green space.

Requirements

  • Ability to anticipate and respond to guests in a friendly and positive manner.
  • Ability to provide the highest level of service.
  • Ability to process check-ins and check-outs, verify billing, create reservations, and process special requests.
  • Knowledge of hotel property, local attractions, and hours of operation of hotel outlets and services.
  • Ability to work as a team player and contribute to other departments.
  • Understanding and ability to follow B. F. Saul Company Hospitality Group guest service recovery program.
  • Ability to follow proper selling techniques to maximize room revenues.
  • Ability to monitor room availability and adhere to booking policies and procedures.
  • Ability to drive sales and maximize revenue by up-selling rooms and amenities.
  • Ability to follow B. F. Saul Company Hospitality Group procedures for handling cash and financial transactions.
  • Responsible for proper use of all equipment.
  • Adherence to cost controls to reduce expenses and waste.
  • Ability to produce required volume of work by planning, organizing and prioritizing work duties.
  • Adherence to B. F. Saul Company Hospitality Group general work rules and department procedures.
  • Ability to attend all required department and hotel meetings.
  • Ability to maintain a clean and safe work area in compliance with regulations.
  • Ability to follow B. F. Saul Company Hospitality Group procedures for guest/team member incidents.
  • Knowledge of hotel emergency procedures.
