The Front Desk Agent is responsible for maintaining front office and lobby organization, providing friendly and courteous service, and coordinating guest needs from arrival to departure. This role involves managing reservations, check-ins, check-outs, routing needs, posting charges, and handling special requests. The agent also preserves the security and privacy of guest rooms and administrative keys, communicates actively with management and staff, conducts hotel site inspections, and manages incoming and outgoing mail and packages. Maximizing revenues through sales strategy and outstanding customer service is a key aspect, as is developing a comprehensive knowledge of property offerings and competitor information. Maintaining the confidentiality of company information and adhering to all hotel policies, procedures, safety, and security standards are paramount. The role requires working cohesively with co-workers and other departments as part of a team, striving to improve operational standards, and adhering to attendance and reliability standards. Additional duties may be assigned by management.
