  • Must be able to operate the PBX system.
  • Must maintain complete responsibility for your personal bank.

Responsibilities

  • Welcome and complete established check-in procedures for daily arriving guests, using manual and computerized methods, to ensure guests are satisfied and staying in requested rooms.
  • Facilitate guest check-out daily following established manual and computerized procedures to close guest accounts and release rooms for the next sale.
  • Regularly calculate and/or record payments, receipts, guest charges, and other forms of credit using accurate cash handling methods and established procedures to present accurate and timely charges to the guest at check-out and maintain accurate hotel records.
  • Courteously handle inquiries and accept reservations, both in person and by telephone, accurately communicating rates and hotel information and using suggestive selling techniques to sell room nights, increase occupancy, and generate revenue.
  • Maintain good customer relations by being knowledgeable of all internal and area functions to respond to inquiries and concerns in a timely and knowledgeable manner, both in person and by telephone.
  • Operate the PBX system by accepting incoming calls, assisting with outgoing calls, programming and managing wake-up calls, and locating guests to provide timely and efficient service.
  • Control cash transactions at the front desk and maintain complete responsibility for your personal bank, as specified by hotel bank policy.
  • Maintain a friendly, cheerful, and courteous attitude at all times.
