About The Position

The Front Desk Agent is responsible for handling guest check-ins and check-outs, processing payments, and ensuring guest satisfaction by addressing complaints and providing information and services in a friendly, professional manner. This role requires adherence to hotel policies and procedures, including those related to payments and cash handling. The agent will also generate and distribute daily reports and resolve discrepancies with the housekeeping department.

Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Minimum one year customer service experience.
  • Ability to satisfactorily communicate with guests, management, and co-workers to their understanding.
  • Computer experience preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous hotel experience preferred.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.
  • Knowledge of local activities and attractions appropriate for clientele.

Responsibilities

  • Handle guest complaints ensuring guest satisfaction.
  • Process all check-ins and check-outs according to established hotel requirements.
  • Adhere to payment, cash handling and credit policies/procedures.
  • Generate, print, and distribute daily reports to designated departments/personnel.
  • Resolve discrepancies on the room status report with Housekeeping.
  • Provide superior guest services including check-in/check-out hotel guests courteously and efficiently.
  • Process all payments according to established hotel requirements.
  • Provide information and services to any guest or visitor in a friendly, professional manner.
