About The Position

Join our team for Fright Fest's 33rd year at Six Flags Magic Mountain! We are looking for talented individuals to perform in haunted attractions and scare zones. Roles include Ghoul, Action Ghoul/Slider, Stilt Performer, and Aerial Ghoul. Applicants must be 18 or older and possess enthusiasm and animation to entertain park guests. This is a short-term position for a specific special event.

Requirements

Must be 18 years of age or older.
Ability to work and attend rehearsals with a variety of shifts including weekends, nights, and holidays.
Ability to stand, walk, kneel, and crouch for extended periods.
Ability to work in varied weather conditions including heat, cold, and rain.
Ability to perform in an enclosed costume with potentially limited sight lines.
Must have a good attitude and participate as a member of the team.
Audition required.
Second interview process required.

Nice To Haves

Dance or gymnastic background preferred (for Stilt Performers).
Willing to train persons with athletic background (for Stilt Performers).
Must be physically fit (for Stilt Performers).
Must have a positive, can-do attitude and love creating FUN experiences! (for Stilt Performers).
Comfortable with heights up to 48” (for Stilt Performers).

Responsibilities

Performing in haunted attractions or scare zones as a fictional, dark character.
Startling and entertaining park guests with enthusiasm and animation.
Carrying and wearing costume weight of 5 to 20 pounds.
Working in crowds, heat, cold, tight, and dark surroundings.
Performing as a stilt performer, meeting, greeting, and entertaining guests.
Performing specific choreographed movements during parades (for Stilt Performers).
Using stunt rigging for performances (for Aerial Ghouls).
Wearing fall protection harnesses for long periods (for Aerial Ghouls).
Attending rehearsals.
