About The Position

The Fall Fest Set Up reports to the Director of Food & Beverage to prepare for and tear down Fall Fest in a fast-paced environment. Set up is responsible for performing job duties quickly, accurately, and consistently while working in a team environment with a focus on guest satisfaction. This role involves assisting with event setup and teardown, maintaining festival areas, providing operational support in food and beverage tents, restocking supplies, managing waste, and following all safety and sanitation procedures.

Requirements

Basic technical skills required to operate cash register/POS system, calculator and credit card machine; prior computer experience required.
Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy of transactions in a fast paced environment while handling multiple priorities.
Ability to communicate effectively in a courteous, caring and professional manner.
Use independent judgment to make sound decisions that conform to department / company policies while resolving customer issues or as unique situations occur in the absence of direct supervision.
Desire to function in a team environment with a positive attitude to fully cooperate with other associates and adhere to rules / regulations to ensure successful operation of facility.

Nice To Haves

High school or GED equivalent preferred.
Minimum 1-year experience in a high volume retail outlet, grocery store, restaurant, hotel or resort preferred.

Responsibilities

Assist with the set-up and tear-down of tables, chairs, equipment, and other event materials.
Assist with preparing and maintaining festival areas to ensure they are clean, organized, and ready for guests.
Work in an assigned food and beverage tent during the festival to provide operational support.
Assist with restocking food, beverages, supplies, and other items at assigned tents as needed.
Remove and dispose of garbage throughout the event and maintain clean surrounding areas.
Assist with general event and food tent tasks as directed by supervisors.
Follow all workplace safety, sanitation, and event procedures.
Report to information tent or other designated work location on time for scheduled shift and in appropriate uniform / nametag.
Welcome resort guests with a smile and the “I promise to CARE!” attitude during Fall Fest event.
Use resort maps and Fall Fest schedules to provide guests with information on: location of amenities/vendors, times of events/activities, pricing and merchandise.
Communicate with Food & Beverage team and other resort departments to ensure complete guest satisfaction.
Monitor guests for suspicious activities and follow appropriate protocol for theft, including notifying supervisor or security.
Keep work station clean and free of debris by performing light housekeeping duties as assigned.
Abide by department / resort / company policies, procedures and safety rules at all times.
