About The Position

Fright Fest is resurrecting for its 33rd year at Six Flags Magic Mountain and is looking for Scare Talent. This is a short-term position for a specific special event and period. Join our team and enjoy the scariest job this side of the grave! Show us your coldest stare or wicked talent, and we'll bring you to the underworld as part of our talented ensemble. You'll be able to enjoy an endless supply of fresh brains, plus get other amazing perks that are to die for!

Requirements

Must be 18 or Older
Must be able to work and attend rehearsals that include a variety of shifts including weekends, nights, and holidays relating to this short-term position for this specific event.
Must be able to stand, walk, kneel, and crouch for extended periods in varied weather conditions including heat, cold, and rain.
Must be able to perform in an enclosed costume, having limited sight lines if applicable.
Have a good attitude and participate as a member of the team.

Nice To Haves

Dance or gymnastic background preferred for Stilt Performer role.
Willing to train persons with athletic background for Stilt Performer role.
Must be physically fit for Stilt Performer role.
Absolutely must have a positive, can-do attitude and love creating FUN experiences for Stilt Performer role.
Must be comfortable with heights up to 48" for Stilt Performer role.

Responsibilities

Performing in haunted attractions or in haunted scare zones as a fictional, dark character startling and entertaining park guests with great enthusiasm and animation.
Carrying and wearing 5 to 20 pounds of costume weight.
Working in crowds, heat, cold, tight and dark surroundings.
Performing as a stilt performer meeting, greeting, and entertaining park guests with enthusiasm and animation.
Performing specific choreographed movements during parades.
Using stunt rigging.
Wearing fall protection harnesses for long periods of time.
Standing, walking, kneeling, and crouching for extended periods in varied weather conditions including heat, cold, and rain.
Performing in an enclosed costume, having limited sight lines if applicable.
