About The Position

Eataly is seeking a Fresh Pasta Artisan to create fresh batches of pasta daily for sale in the market and service in restaurants. This role involves educating guests about Eataly's pasta offerings and providing excellent customer service. The Pasta Maker will functionally report to the Fresh Pasta Lead.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent or culinary degree preferred
  • 1+ year of experience as a cook or chef preferred
  • Knowledge of Italian cuisine preferred
  • Availability to work onsite with a flexible schedule often including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to exert well-paced mobility for up to 8 hours, including standing, walking, bending and squatting
  • Ability to operate equipment such as a commercial mixer and pasta machine

Responsibilities

  • Makes pasta according to Eataly’s recipes and high-quality standards
  • Weighs and packages pasta
  • Advises guests on pasta choices
  • Ensures all items are rotated according to First In First Out (FIFO) standards
  • Maintains a clean and sanitary work area that meets Department of Health standards
  • Performs other duties as required or assigned
