About The Position

The Fresh Item Manager (FIM) serves as the primary organizational resource for fresh item data, systems, processes, and product information, partnering with Category Management, Marketing, Operations, and other departments to support accurate and effective fresh item execution across the company. This role involves managing and maintaining fresh item information, including recipes, ingredients, nutritional information, allergens, dietary attributes, labeling, and other product data to ensure accuracy and compliance. The FIM will also provide expertise and support for Fresh Item Management systems, identify opportunities for process improvement and automation, and partner with Operations and store teams to support accurate fresh item production, inventory, labeling, and traceability processes. Additionally, the role involves supporting Marketing and category teams in developing Guest-facing product information and wellness initiatives, staying updated on industry trends and regulatory developments, and maintaining strong knowledge of fresh food products, ingredients, food safety, nutrition, labeling, and traceability.

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of fresh food ingredients, recipes, nutritional information, allergens, food safety, product labeling, and traceability.
  • Strong attention to detail with demonstrated ability to maintain accurate product and data information.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with the ability to identify process and system improvement opportunities.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and time-sensitive projects.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to explain systems, processes, and technical information to a variety of audiences.
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications, and the ability to learn and effectively use a variety of proprietary systems and technology.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with Category Management, Marketing, Operations, store teams, vendors, and other internal and external partners.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain fresh item information, including recipes, ingredients, nutritional information, allergens, dietary attributes, labeling, and other product data to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Partner with Category Managers, culinary resources, and other stakeholders to maintain recipe accuracy, product specifications, ingredient information, and appropriate fresh item attributes.
  • Support fresh item labeling and Guest-facing product information by ensuring accurate nutritional, allergen, ingredient, and product attribute data.
  • Provide expertise and support for Fresh Item Management systems and related applications, including system maintenance, troubleshooting, process improvement, user support, and training.
  • Identify opportunities to improve and automate fresh item processes, data accuracy, traceability, reporting, and the flow of product information throughout the organization.
  • Partner with Operations and store teams to support accurate fresh item production, inventory, labeling, and traceability processes that improve compliance, profitability, and execution.
  • Develop and maintain processes that support ingredient and product traceability, including appropriate response and action planning for product recalls and other food safety concerns.
  • Serve as the primary organizational resource for fresh item data, systems, processes, and product information, partnering with Category Management, Marketing, Operations, and other departments to support accurate and effective fresh item execution.
  • Support Marketing and category teams in developing Guest-facing product information and wellness initiatives related to ingredients, nutrition, allergens, dietary attributes, sustainability, and other relevant fresh product characteristics.
  • Monitor industry trends, regulatory developments, competitors, and emerging technologies to identify opportunities that strengthen Busch's fresh item programs and processes.
  • Maintain strong knowledge of fresh food products, ingredients, food safety, nutrition, labeling, traceability, and related industry practices while serving as a knowledgeable resource throughout the organization.
