About The Position

The Fresh Cuts Associate aids the line leader with daily transactions and helps maintain a safe, organized, clean, and efficient production line. The associate identifies and analyzes problems, recommends actions to improve performance, and helps ensure high-quality produce is ready for daily production runs at an acceptable productivity level. The schedule begins at 7:00 a.m. Monday through Saturday, with earlier starts possible for overtime. Shifts are 8 to 12 hours.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED preferred, but not required.
Ability to use and handle sharp knives, peelers, and hand machines.
Ability to communicate effectively.
Limited computer skills.
Willingness to learn lean manufacturing processes.
Ability to lift and/or move 25 to 50 pounds.
Ability to stand for long periods.
Ability to stoop and bend frequently.

Nice To Haves

Related industry experience.
General understanding of processing procedures.
Experience working in a high-volume warehouse or production facility.
Knowledge of GMP policy.
Bilingual ability.

Responsibilities

Perform at the standard rate for the assigned production line and communicate to leadership when the company standard is not met.
Monitor production performance KPIs.
Maintain a safe and clean workspace and ensure the area is ready for sanitation, including floors, tables, cutting boards, and equipment.
Maintain quality specifications for unfinished products.
Prepare, cut, and repack products according to customer specifications.
Operate machinery such as potato peelers and bag sealers.
Clean and sanitize the work area.
Follow sanitation and safety procedures for handling and production in accordance with SQF standards.
Follow GMPs.
