About The Position

The Fresh Area Team Member, also described as a Food Clerk, helps create a fresh, welcoming, and well-run store experience in Meijer’s Fresh departments. The role delivers remarkable customer service through product knowledge, efficient service, and a friendly attitude, while performing a variety of retail tasks involving products, customer service, and merchandising. The team member works across Meat, Seafood, Bakery, Deli, Produce, and Grocery; maintains appealing product displays; stocks, rotates, and merchandises products; uses job-specific technology; and follows food safety, sanitation, and quality procedures. The role also involves staying physically active in a fast-paced environment and supporting other tasks as needed.
