About The Position

The Language Specialist is responsible for performing language-related tasks. They communicate with project teams to deal with linguistic issues. The Language Specialist works with clients to improve terminology used and client style guides. Entry-level position.

Requirements

  • University degree in Translation & Interpreting or equivalent and/or relevant experience.
  • Fluent in English with good communication skills.
  • Native speaker of targeted language.
  • Basic familiarity with Microsoft Office 365 including Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience in localization/enterprise-oriented software will be highly valued.
  • Knowledge of standard CAT and related translation/terminology management tools.
  • Willingness to work overtime if necessary.
  • Remote, office, or hybrid work environment depending on specific position.
  • Very organized and able to work under pressure.
  • Team player.
  • Quick learner.

Responsibilities

  • Translating, reviewing, proofreading, linguistic bug fixing, and other language-related tasks.
  • Communicating with the project team on linguistic issues if necessary.
  • Managing and suggesting new terminology for clients’ approval whenever required.
  • Managing clients’ style guides and/or reference material whenever required.
  • Additional duties as required.
