About The Position

Woodstock Union Middle/High School is seeking a dynamic and collaborative Part-Time French Long-term Substitute to join our highly engaged World Languages department! This is an exciting opportunity to begin immediately and teach a comprehensive 7–12 curriculum, spanning all ability levels from novice to advanced. The successful candidate will be deeply familiar with and committed to Proficiency-Based Instruction and Grading, creating standards-based units tied to the ACTFL World-Readiness Standards for Learning Languages, and developing and maintaining a safe, respectful, and engaging learning environment. Furthermore, the ideal candidate is enthusiastic about contributing to our thriving international exchange and travel programs.

Requirements

• Hold or be eligible to hold a Vermont Educator License with an appropriate World Language endorsement.
• Demonstrate a strong commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion in education.
• Possess excellent interpersonal, communication, time management, and collaboration skills.
• Utilize data-driven decision-making.
• Integrate technology to support differentiated instruction.
• Be committed to continuous professional growth and innovative educational practices.
