About The Position

This position is for a 0.4 French Teacher for Grades 9-12. The role involves supporting a vision that reflects an ALL STUDENTS classroom program, demonstrating knowledge of the subject area, and adhering to the R.I. Educator Code of Professional Responsibility. The teacher will work with colleagues, parents, students, and administrators, and utilize technology in the teaching and learning process. Knowledge of curriculum, standards, grade level/span expectations, and performance assessment is crucial. The position also requires promoting and supporting the R.I. High School Diploma System and the Common Core Standards, as well as promoting and facilitating Professional Learning Community goals and supporting a co-teaching model.

Requirements

• Appropriate Rhode Island Certification: All Grades World Language Teacher, Grades PK - 12, French
• Relevant credentials.
• Relevant successful experience.
• Demonstrate knowledge of subject area.
• Adhere to the R.I. Educator Code of Professional Responsibility.
• Ability to work with colleagues, parents, students and administrators.
• Ability to know and utilize technology in the teaching and learning process.
• Knowledge of curriculum, standards, grade level/span expectations and performance assessment.
• Promote and support the R.I. High School Diploma System and the Common Core Standards.
• Promote and facilitate the Professional Learning Community goals.
• Support co-teaching model.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
