This position is for an Adjunct Teaching role in the French & Italian Department, specifically as a French Course Grader for Independent Study at the University level. Although the work is through 'Independent Study,' the successful candidate is required to relocate to and/or reside in Utah for the duration of their employment. The position requires knowledge of second-language acquisition theory and advanced-level language pedagogy, as well as demonstrated experience teaching lower-level French courses. The role involves responding to student inquiries, potentially holding office hours or Q&A sessions, evaluating student work, and following the Independent Study curriculum for French courses. Applicants must submit an updated curriculum vitae, cover letter, and a Mission Alignment Statement. New employees who are members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints must hold a current temple recommend and abide by the university's Honor Code and Dress & Grooming Standards. Preference is given to qualified candidates who are members in good standing of the affiliated church.
