About The Position

Innovative Environments (IE), a Houston-based design-build company creating custom trade show exhibits, broadcast studios, corporate interiors, and signage, is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Freight / Logistics Coordinator. The coordinator manages and coordinates primarily domestic freight operations, with occasional international shipments, helping projects stay on schedule by coordinating shipments and shipping and receiving activities, communicating with freight carriers and vendors, and ensuring materials arrive at the right place on time. The role is based in a non-climate-controlled warehouse and follows a Monday–Friday schedule, with occasional weekend work and on-call support for urgent installer or carrier needs.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
At least 1 year of experience in freight coordination, warehouse logistics, or shipping coordination.
Forklift certification and hands-on forklift experience.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work under pressure.
Team-oriented, solutions-focused, and dependable.

Nice To Haves

Experience in logistics, supply chain, or business.
Prior trade show or event logistics experience.

Responsibilities

Coordinate and schedule domestic freight shipments, ensuring accuracy and on-time delivery.
Manage limited international shipments and required customs documentation.
Oversee inbound and outbound shipments, verifying secure loads and correct paperwork.
Track shipments in real time and quickly resolve delays or damage.
Load and unload deliveries and supplies from trucks.
Manage small-parcel shipping and receiving and maintain accountability for deliveries.
Build relationships with carriers, negotiate freight rates, and approve invoices.
Collaborate with project managers, installers, and service technicians to support smooth operations.
