About The Position

CrossCountry Freight Solutions is hiring a Freight Handler in Denver, Colorado. This safety-sensitive warehouse position is responsible for loading and unloading freight from trailers using forklifts, pallet jacks, and/or handcarts. Freight Handlers are trained and certified to operate safety-sensitive equipment efficiently. The role pays $24.00 per hour and follows a Monday–Friday, 2 p.m.–midnight schedule. It reports to the Operations Supervisor and has no direct reports.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age.
Have at least six months of verifiable forklift experience.
Have excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 90 pounds.
Frequently squat and crouch to handle freight.
Safely maneuver freight or pallets weighing up to 2,500 pounds onto a dolly or cart, applying up to 130 pounds of force with mechanical aid in various environments and conditions.
Carry freight weighing up to 40 pounds for up to 20 feet.
Help load and unload full trailers of freight weighing up to 45,000 pounds with mechanical aid.
Open and close cargo doors and climb into and out of vehicles.

Responsibilities

Safely load and unload trailers using forklifts, pallet jacks, and/or handcarts.
Use handheld scanners to track and document freight through the network.
Identify, sticker, and stage inbound freight accurately.
Verify freight condition to ensure it meets quality standards.
Perform other duties as assigned.
