About The Position

Gordon Food Service is hiring a Freight Handler at its distribution center at 504 Advantage Way, Aberdeen, MD 21001. The role supports order processing and delivery by safely removing product pallets from trailers and breaking down freight into the correct pallet configurations. The Freight Handler separates inbound freight by item code onto good pallets, accounts for damaged product so it is not received into warehouse sale inventory, and checks pallet structural integrity. No prior experience is required; training is provided.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must be able to work holidays, weekends, and overtime as needed.
• Must be able to work in extreme cold or hot conditions, ranging from -25°F to 100°F.
• Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English.
• Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug test and background check.

Nice To Haves

• Prior warehouse experience is preferred but not required.
