About The Position

A Freight Forwarder Air & Ocean Import manages the importation of goods by air and ocean, overseeing logistics activities including customs clearance, carrier booking, cargo tracking, and delivery to the final destination. The role coordinates with carriers, customs brokers, and trucking companies to support timely and efficient delivery. It also requires tracking shipments, preparing customs documentation, complying with relevant regulations and trade laws, and providing customer service.

Requirements

• Fluency in English.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations, such as calculating costs and rates.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of ocean freight logistics and customs regulations.
• Understanding of trade laws and regulations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

• Prior experience in freight forwarding, logistics, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Manage air and ocean imports, including customs clearance and delivery to the final destination.
• Coordinate with carriers, customs brokers, and trucking companies to support timely delivery.
• Track shipments and provide updates to customers as needed.
• Prepare and submit customs clearance documentation, including commercial invoices, bills of lading, and other relevant paperwork.
• Ensure compliance with applicable regulations and laws, including customs regulations and trade laws.
• Manage customer relationships and provide exceptional customer service.
