About The Position

The Freight Forwarder Air Import is responsible for ensuring the timely and efficient importation of goods by air, including customs clearance and delivery to the final destination. The role coordinates with airlines, customs agents, and trucking companies and requires strong organizational and communication skills. The position is based in Atlanta, Georgia, within DSV’s Air & Sea division, and is full-time.

Requirements

• Fluency in English.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations, such as calculating costs and rates.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of air freight logistics and customs regulations.
• Understanding of trade laws and regulations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience in freight forwarding, logistics, or a related field.
• Experience in air imports.
• Knowledge of additional languages.
• Experience with logistics software and systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage air imports, including customs clearance and delivery to the final destination.
• Communicate with airlines, customs agents, and trucking companies to support timely delivery of goods.
• Track shipments and provide customers with updates as needed.
• Prepare and submit customs clearance documentation, including commercial invoices, bills of lading, and other relevant paperwork.
• Ensure compliance with applicable regulations and laws, including customs regulations and trade laws.
• Manage customer relationships and provide exceptional customer service.
