About The Position

DSV is seeking an experienced Air Import Pharma Freight Forwarder to coordinate import delivery while ensuring compliance with customer requirements and applicable Good Distribution Practice (GDP) standards. The position focuses on managing time-critical, temperature-sensitive pharmaceutical, healthcare, and life-science shipments with strong attention to detail and clear communication in a fast-paced environment.

The role manages air import shipments from pre-alert through final delivery, coordinating with overseas DSV offices, customs brokers, trucking companies, warehouses, and customers. It includes reviewing shipment documentation, monitoring milestones, resolving delays and operational issues, and ensuring temperature-controlled shipments are handled, stored, transported, documented, and traced according to GDP, established SOPs, regulatory requirements, and customer instructions.

The successful candidate will be proactive, accountable, detail-oriented, and customer-focused, and will recognize and address potential problems before they affect customers. The role offers work in an international logistics organization supporting pharmaceutical, healthcare, and life-science companies, with the opportunity to develop expertise in specialized logistics and contribute to the compliant movement of critical products. The position is located in Iselin, New Jersey, and is full-time.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in air freight forwarding; import operations experience is preferred.
• Solid knowledge of international air freight processes and documentation.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple shipments and priorities simultaneously.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Manage the complete air import freight forwarding process, from pre-alert through final delivery.
• Coordinate import shipments with overseas DSV offices, customs brokers, trucking companies, warehouses, and customers.
• Handle pharmaceutical, healthcare, life-science, and temperature-sensitive shipments in accordance with customer and regulatory requirements.
• Review import documentation, including commercial invoices, packing lists, airway bills, and other required documents.
• Monitor shipment milestones and proactively address delays and operational issues.
• Coordinate temperature-controlled shipments and verify appropriate handling, storage, and transportation conditions according to GDP and applicable SOPs.
• Apply GDP principles to air import operations and follow temperature-control requirements and customer-specific handling instructions.
• Manage shipments requiring active and passive temperature-controlled solutions.
• Maintain appropriate documentation and traceability throughout the shipment lifecycle.
