About The Position

The Freight Forwarder Ocean Import manages the importation of goods by ocean, including customs clearance, carrier booking, cargo tracking, and delivery to the final destination. The role coordinates with carriers, customs brokers, and trucking companies to support timely and efficient deliveries. It also involves preparing customs documentation, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and trade laws, and maintaining customer relationships through strong service.

Requirements

• Fluency in English.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations, including calculating costs and rates.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of ocean freight logistics and customs regulations.
• Understanding of trade laws and regulations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Manage ocean imports, including customs clearance and delivery to the final destination.
• Coordinate with carriers, customs brokers, and trucking companies to ensure timely delivery of goods.
• Track shipments and provide updates to customers as needed.
• Prepare and submit customs-clearance documentation, including commercial invoices, bills of lading, and other relevant paperwork.
