About The Position

The Freight Flow Associate is responsible for various tasks related to the movement, stocking, and organization of merchandise within the facility. This role involves operating equipment like forklifts and pallet jacks, ensuring safety standards are met, and providing excellent customer service. The associate will also contribute to maintaining the sales floor's presentation, managing inventory, and utilizing technology to enhance operations and customer experience. The position emphasizes teamwork, integrity, and a commitment to continuous improvement, aligning with the company's values and goals.

Requirements

  • 90 days of prior experience with Forklift Certification.
  • Ability to safely utilize pallet jacks.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

  • Complies with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity.
  • Operates forklift following Company standards and guidelines for picking, moving, placing, and positioning merchandise pallets.
  • Completes work assignments and priorities by using policies, data, and resources, collaborating with managers, coworkers, customers, and other business partners.
  • Receives, stocks, and organizes merchandise and supplies from distribution centers and suppliers.
  • Manages inventory flow, follows company policy and procedures for utilizing equipment, merchandising, working inventory exceptions, correcting shelf capacities, and completing required paperwork.
  • Provides member service by acknowledging members, identifying needs, providing guidance on self-service technology, assisting with purchasing decisions, locating merchandise, resolving issues, and promoting products and services.
  • Maintains the safety of the facility according to company policies and procedures, including conducting safety sweeps, following forklift spotting procedures, handling hazardous materials, and reporting unsafe situations.
  • Maintains the sales floor and merchandising presentation in accordance with company policies and procedures, including zoning, stocking, rotating merchandise, removing damaged goods, setting up displays, and monitoring for shrink, security risks, and safety.
  • Ensures club pickup orders are filled by assisting with picking and staging orders according to company policy and procedures.
  • Handles, moves, and displays goods in safe and correct ways.
  • Tracks goods, maintains instock levels, and controls shrinkage.
  • Reports poor inventory practices and low instock levels.
  • Uses inventory tools and equipment in safe and correct ways.
  • Operates and maintains forklifts in safe and correct ways.
  • Reports poor or unsafe conditions or practices.
  • Tells Management when forklifts are not in proper working order.
  • Proactively identifies Customers who need help and assists them with Technology services and items.
  • Models and helps others with technology services.
  • Identifies shrink opportunities and problems with products, services, and work areas and takes steps to fix the problem.
  • Properly maintains equipment and ensures products are organized and stocked in correct ways.
