About The Position

The Freight Flow Associate is responsible for ensuring the efficient and safe flow of merchandise and supplies within the facility. This role involves operating a forklift, managing inventory, maintaining the sales floor presentation, and providing excellent customer service. The associate will also play a key role in maintaining a safe work environment and utilizing technology to assist customers and identify shrink opportunities. The position emphasizes teamwork, integrity, and a commitment to serving customers and members.

Requirements

  • 90 days of prior experience with Forklift Certification.
  • Ability to safely utilize pallet jacks.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

  • Complies with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity.
  • Operates forklift safely to pick up, move, place, and position merchandise pallets.
  • Completes work assignments and priorities by using policies, data, and resources, collaborating with managers, coworkers, customers, and other business partners.
  • Receives, stocks, and organizes merchandise and supplies, managing inventory flow and utilizing equipment appropriately.
  • Provides member service by acknowledging needs, identifying needs, providing guidance on self-service technology, assisting with purchasing decisions, locating merchandise, resolving issues, and promoting products and services.
  • Maintains the safety of the facility according to company policies and procedures, including conducting safety sweeps and handling hazardous materials.
  • Maintains the sales floor and merchandising presentation in accordance with company policies, including zoning, stocking, rotating merchandise, and setting up displays.
  • Ensures club pickup orders are filled by assisting with picking and staging orders according to company policy and procedures.
  • Handles, moves, and displays goods in safe and correct ways, tracks goods, maintains instock levels, and controls shrinkage.
  • Operates and maintains forklifts in safe and correct ways.
  • Proactively identifies customers who need help and assists them with technology services and items.
  • Identifies shrink opportunities and problems with products, services, and work areas and takes steps to fix them.
  • Properly maintains equipment and ensures products are organized and stocked in correct ways.
  • Works as a team, builds strong and trusting relationships, and communicates with impact, energy, and positivity.
  • Helps, develops, and mentors others, recognizes others' contributions and accomplishments.
  • Maintains and promotes the highest standards of integrity, ethics, and compliance.
