The Freight Claims Analyst is responsible for researching and processing freight claims, ensuring timely and accurate resolution. This involves communication with claimants, sales teams, customer service, accounting, and other internal customers and partners. The role also includes analyzing and reporting trends to protect the company and serve the customer.

Requirements

Ability to communicate effectively and professionally via email and written form
Analyzes trends and communicates to operation team along with department leadership
Work in Microsoft applications and email

Responsibilities

Enters all freight claims received by the department timely and accurately
Create claims folders complete with all documentation and combining individual PDF documents into a single document
Verifies all essential documents for the claim packet have been received
Occasionally, thoroughly review and analyze each claim
Responds to emails from Customers based on information within the claims file or about the status of a claim
Escalates claims to department leadership when necessary
Analyzes trends and communicates to operation team along with department leadership
Run daily/weekly/monthly reports
Actively follows up on claims that are in hold status or mitigation status
Schedule inspections with 3rd party inspection company
When necessary composes custom declination or pay letters
Manage reports through Excel spreadsheets
Other duties may be assigned
