About The Position

Turkey Hill is seeking a Freezer Warehouse General Utility Associate to join their team. This role is responsible for maintaining a clean and safe work environment in the Freezer Warehouse by performing sanitation activities, operating shrink-wrap machines, and ensuring efficient production and shipping operations. The associate will also perform quality assurance tasks, operate Powered Industrial Trucks (PITs), assist with basic equipment maintenance, and participate in process improvement initiatives. This is a safety-critical role with a zero-tolerance policy for positive drug screens.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must work in a team environment
  • Maintain adherence to work hours scheduled specifically starting, ending, lunch and break schedules
  • Perform all duties within established Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) regulations and safety guidelines
  • Be accountable to the Turkey Hill Food Safety and Quality Principles

  • Demonstrate proficiency in all production-related communication systems, software applications, and computer programs required for the role.

Responsibilities

  • Perform and document all required sanitation activities within the Freezer Warehouse, including Master Sanitation Schedule (MSS) tasks and general housekeeping responsibilities.
  • Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot shrink-wrap machines.
  • Communicate with the Shipping Office regarding completed trailers and coordinate requests for additional trailer availability.
  • Perform all required Quality Assurance (QA) responsibilities, including retrieving and storing QA samples, conducting temperature checks, and placing products on hold.
  • Safely operate Powered Industrial Trucks (PITs) to perform warehouse functions, including production put-away, load staging, order picking, receiving inbound materials, and loading outbound trailers.
  • Obtain and maintain all required certifications.
  • Perform basic equipment maintenance and assist with troubleshooting.
  • Actively participate in departmental and cross-functional teams to identify, develop, and implement process improvements.
